Kernel freeze on Toshiba satellite M30

Hello.

I have tried to install freebsd 5.2.1 on my notebook.
I booted from cd and no matter what I chose in the boot prompt
I got a kernel freeze after the line 

cbb0: <ToPIC 100 PCI-Card Bus Bridge> at device 11.0 on pci2

Had to pull out the battery to reboot :)
Is this a bug?
